December can often feel like a quiet month for bringing in new clients. It seems like once Thanksgiving is finished and the Black Friday/Cyber Monday craziness has passed people have downed tools for the holiday season.
That’s just not true!
You just need to reposition your offer and think what your ideal client is looking for at this time of year.
New Year New Me!
The time of year when everyone is envisioning that this is the year they make a change! It’s true that some people probably don’t want to start and actually DO anything substantial in December.
So instead, frame your offer on getting prepared and laying the foundations in December so they’ll be ready to get a head start on January!
Position your offer as an early release
Similarly to the last point, describe your new product and that initial planning stage and explain that you’re offering it early (possibly with a discount) for those that want to take action and get prepared for 2020 from day 1.
If they don’t start laying the foundations until January it will be a while before they actually start seeing results!
The worst part about that is the ghost of all those failed New Year resolutions will start to creep in, momentum is key!
Supercharge your offer
If you are using that tactic and positioning your product as an early launch, how can you sweeten the deal?
People are more reluctant to commit in December but its not impossible. I mentioned a discount earlier but what could be even better (and maintain a full price) is offering a bonus instead for an early signup.
What could you offer that would entice people enough to stop them waiting until the New Year?
Lighten the December workload
As I said, a lot of people probably don’t want to start anything too time consuming in December as their own work schedule likely winds down. Think of things the client can do that is more light preparatory stuff so they feel like they are being productive and working towards a great 2020.
Just keep going!
When everyone else is winding down and putting things off until January be the one that’s still grinding away! For everyone that is putting stuff off until January you’ll be a month ahead and raring and ready to go in January while they’re just starting!
